We are pleased to announce that we are offering a spring Community Wildfire Homeowners Course on behalf of the villages of Slocan , Silverton and New Denver.  This course has been designed to help local residents prepare for Wildfire season.

During the course will be giving a presentation on how individual homeowners can take steps towards mitigating their homes to reduce the risk of structure loss during a wildfire.

​

We will also discuss Evacuation readiness e.g making a plan and packing grab and go bags.

​

The course will include a tour of a demonstration site where our Local firesmart representative will assess a structure and discuss the mitigation steps that can be implemented.

​

We will be serving refreshments and light snacks.

​

Information packs will be handed out at the end as well as a Roof top sprinkler giveaway!
