GIS TECHNICIAN WANTED

This is a short-term position (4 days/week) that could be extended, based out of Winlaw BC.

Preference will be given to local applicants, but there is flexibility in this regard in order to accommodate right candidate.

Working in an ArcMap environment, the GIS Tech will assemble data sets required, develop map tile layouts, develop cartographic representations, and produce PDF plot files for final map output.

All resultant layers and thematic interpretations will be produced by programs or ArcMap models that record the exact data manipulation processes used. GIS Tech must be open to feedback on cartography and data interpretations.

Each map will need to be tiled on multiple printed sheets to achieve a printed map scale that will enable the viewer to see required map content.

The GIS Tech will report to the SIFCo Manager and GIS Analyst.

GIS and ArcMap knowledge is a must. Project Management skill is an asset.
